Max Verstappen was in brilliant form once again, topping the timesheets in a busy third practice session at the Japanese Grand Prix.
Late in the session, Verstappen set a time of 1m 30.671s to lead Carlos Sainz, in second, by 0.294s, with the other Ferrari of Charles Leclerc in third, 0.309s off the pace of the Dutch driver.
Fernando Alonso was an impressive fourth, ahead of Sergio Perez in fifth and the Mercedes pair of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton in sixth and seventh respectively.

Lando Norris was eighth quickest, ahead of Esteban Ocon in P9, with the Aston Martin of Lance Stroll rounding out the top 10. Home favourite Yuki Tsunoda was down in 17th, ahead of AlphaTauri team mate Pierre Gasly in 20th.
