Invicta Racing have announced the signing of 2025 FIA Formula 3 Champion Rafael Camara for the 2026 Formula 2 season, confirming the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy member’s graduation to the second tier.

Camara makes the step up after a record-breaking campaign in F3, during which he achieved five podium finishes, including four Feature Race victories from pole position – helping the Brazilian become the first Formula 3 Champion to win the title with one round to go.

Prior to that, Camara moved up to single-seater racing in 2022 after a trophy-laden karting career, finishing second in the Formula 4 UAE Championship.

That same year, the 20-year-old took third in the both the Italian and ADAC F4 categories before finishing in the same position in both of his Formula Regional Middle East Championship seasons in 2023 and 2024.

Camara achieved his first single-seater title later in the same 2024 season, dominating to win the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.

The Brazilian driver will now step up to Formula 2 with Invicta, following in the footsteps of Gabriel Bortoleto and Leonardo Fornaroli, who also raced for the British team after winning the F3 title.
