To whet your appetite ahead of the season opener in Bahrain on Sunday, here’s an exclusive look at all the best team radio from this race last year. Won by Lewis Hamilton, it wasn’t straightforward for the Mercedes man, who had to rely on both a clever strategy to jump ahead of early leader Max Verstappen, and some careful tyre management.

While the front two were in a league of their own, behind there was non-stop drama. Pierre Gasly managed to pick up a puncture, Mick Schumacher spun on debut for Haas and Carlos Sainz and Lance Stroll got a little bit too close for comfort in the early stages.

Add in an impressively feisty debut from Yuki Tsunoda, whose interesting radio exchanges with his race engineer gave us a taste of what was to come across the rest of the season, and the airwaves make for some very interesting listening.
