F1 EXPLAINS: Points, pronunciations and pit lane history – Your questions answered in a quickfire special

As the Formula 1 paddock prepares to head on to Australia, the F1 Explains gang is back with another quick-fire edition to provide the answers to a wide range of your questions.
In the latest episode of F1 Explains – the official podcast that answers your questions about the sport – hosts Katie Osborne and Christian Hewgill address several key topics with help from some special guests.
F1 EXPLAINS: How F1 ACADEMY aims to inspire young women to pursue careers in motorsport
F1 TV commentator Alex Jacques and former F1 driver Jolyon Palmer are on hand to help the gang answer a range of burning questions, including why a driver's finishing position outside of the top 10 – and therefore outside the points – is still important.
Other subjects that the team delve into include how the pit lane got its name, as well as how you should really pronounce Charles Leclerc's name.
