Charles Leclerc stormed to an emphatic victory in Austin, the Monegasque driver recording his third win of the year followed by Carlos Sainz as Ferrari made it a 1-2 to spark hope among the tifosi that the Scuderia can join the fight for the constructors' title.
All the talk in the build up to the race weekend was about Max Verstappen and Lando Norris – and the two title contenders did indeed do battle in Texas, with Norris getting the better of his rival on track, only for the stewards to penalise him for his overtaking move and knock him back off the podium.

Neither of them though could keep up with the Ferrari pair who raced away to seal an impressive triumph on American soil which puts them just eight points behind Red Bull in the standings.
So can the team from Maranello mount a serious title bid this year? Boss Fred Vasseur joins host Tom Clarkson to talk it all through in this week's F1 Nation podcast.
F1TV commentator Alex Jacques and F1 stat expert Sean 'Virtual Statman' Kelly also join Tom to talk all things Ferrari, as well as whether that Texas tussle between Verstappen and Norris could prove to be a championship-defining moment – and whether the penalty for the McLaren man was the right call by the stewards.
Plus, the team review a hugely difficult weekend for Lewis Hamilton, and impressive performances from Williams' Franco Colapinto and returning RB driver Liam Lawson.
