F3: Stenshorne impresses in Monte Carlo to claim Sprint Race victory

Hitech TGR driver Martinius Stenshorne made his strong start count as he went on to claim victory in Saturday’s Monte Carlo Sprint Race.
The McLaren Development Programme member had a brilliant getaway from P2 on the grid and took the lead of the race from the slow-starting pole-sitter Alessandro Giusti before getting to Turn 1.

From then on, Stenshorne held off the challenge of ART Grand Prix drivers Tuukka Taponen and Laurens van Hoepen and later drove off into the distance to claim victory by over two seconds.
Taponen held off his team mate to finish second, while van Hoepen achieved his first podium result of the season in third.
Giusti was left frustrated by his slow getaway off the line and wound up in fourth for MP Motorsport, ahead of his team mate Tim Tramnitz.
TRIDENT pairing Charlie Wurz and Rafael Câmara crossed the line in sixth and seventh respectively, with Campos Racing’s Mari Boya in P8.
