Tim Tramnitz was in superb form on Saturday morning as the MP Motorsport driver claimed victory in the Imola Sprint Race, leading home team mate Bruno del Pino and Campos Racing’s Nikola Tsolov.

Del Pino started from reverse grid pole and the Spaniard made an excellent start to keep Tramnitz in second initially, but the Red Bull Junior Team member used DRS to his advantage to close in on his rookie team mate before going around the outside into Turn 2 to claim the lead on Lap 3.

From then on, he managed two Safety Car restarts and saw off constant pressure from Del Pino to claim his second Formula 3 victory following his triumph at the 2024 Monza Sprint Race.

Del Pino saw off Tsolov late on to achieve his maiden Formula 3 podium, as the Campos Racing driver settled for third place.

It was a strong day for Rodin Motorsport as Louis Sharp and Roman Bilinski finished fourth and fifth respectively, while Mercedes junior Noah Stromsted made a late charge to sixth for TRIDENT.

ART Grand Prix driver and Scuderia Ferrari Academy junior Tuukka Taponen was seventh, ahead of PREMA Racing’s Ugo Ugochukwu, who ran wide at Acque Minerali and lost ground, and Noel León.
