FORMULA 3: Daruvala snatches first pole of the season at Spa

PREMA Racing’s Jehan Daruvala returned to form in Spa-Francorchamps with his first pole position of the season, in Formula 3 qualifying.
The Indian is looking to get his title charge back on track, having fallen to third in the Drivers’ Championship, and will now be eyeing his first victory since Round 2.
The PREMA man won out in a late sprint to pole, fighting off Trident’s Pedro Piquet, who had dominated the majority of the session. Red Bull F1 junior Yuki Tsunoda claimed third, for his best ever qualifying position in F3.
Championship leader Robert Shwartzman had to settle for fourth in the Belgian heat, but will be feeling better than his PREMA teammate, Marcus Armstrong. The Ferrari F1 junior failed to follow up his form from Round 6 – where he earned his first F3 win – and qualified in lowly 19th.
The Kiwi complained of traffic on track and eased off in the hope of finding space, but it never came and he was unable to improve on his time.
