FP2 HIGHLIGHTS: All the key moments from second practice for the Emilia Romagna GP
Max Verstappen went into this weekend as the favourite for the race win in Imola, but his progress was checked on Friday afternoon when his RB16B car ground to a halt out on track in second practice for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
The Red Bull driver was unable to get back out in the session, leaving the way clear for Mercedes to dominate the time sheets, with Valtteri Bottas quickest again ahead of team mate Lewis Hamilton, after the Finn also topped the morning session.
The day's running was brought to a slightly premature end, after Charles Leclerc buried the front wing of his Ferrari in the barriers after losing control at the final corner.
