Mercedes are used to having it all their own way at Abu Dhabi in recent years, having taken every pole position and victory since 2014. But they were outpaced in final practice for this year's race, with neither Lewis Hamilton nor Valtteri Bottas among the top five fastest runners in FP3.
Instead Max Verstappen and Alex Albon led the way for Red Bull, with Renault pair Daniel Ricciardo and Esteban Ocon behind them, and Lando Norris rounding out the top five for McLaren.
