Sergio Perez topped second practice for this weekend's Azerbaijan Grand Prix – and immediately declared he "finally understands how to drive the car" after taking some time to get to grips with the Red Bull RB16B.
The Mexican was fourth fastest in the morning session before going quickest of all in FP2, ahead of team mate Max Verstappen as Red Bull looked rapid on the streets of Baku.

It was a different story for Mercedes meanwhile, with Lewis Hamilton only managing 11th quickest on Friday afternoon, and Valtteri Bottas down in 16th – the reigning champions with plenty of work to do ahead of Saturday's qualifying session.
