Second practice for this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix was an incident-packed session, with two top drivers ending their day in the barriers and bringing out the red flags.
First Charles Leclerc lost his Ferrari out of Turn 6 and hit the barriers on the exit, with the session stopped to allow the marshals to clear the stricken SF21.
But then with just minutes remaining, Max Verstappen – who had already posted the fastest time of the day – had a big shunt at Turn 7 after his RB16B swung round on him and sent him into the barriers with a heavy impact.

Again the red flags were shown with the session not restarted, as Red Bull faced an anxious wait to see how badly damaged the car was, though thankfully Verstappen himself walked away uninjured.
