HIGHLIGHTS: Relive Las Vegas FP2 as Norris tops disrupted session
Lando Norris ended Friday in Las Vegas as the fastest driver, but the order remains unclear after red flags denied most front running drivers the chance to complete a qualifying simulation.
Lando Norris recovered from a difficult opening session of the Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend to set the fastest time in Free Practice 2 before the running was disrupted by two red flags.
Championship leader Norris was among the first of the front running drivers to switch to soft tyres, allowing him to complete his Qualifying simulation prior to a precautionary red flag for track maintenance. The disruption all but ended the action with 20 minutes remaining, as red flags were again shown moments after the field had been released.
Charles Leclerc, who retired from the session at the end with a gearbox problem, also made the switch to the red-wall compound, setting the third-best time.
Kimi Antonelli, in second, was the fastest on medium tyres with his effort just 0.029s shy of Norris.
