From one street circuit to another: after the Monaco Grand Prix two weeks ago, this week the F1 circus is in Baku for the Azerbaijan GP, and the drivers saw their first track action of the weekend on Friday morning.

Max Verstappen picked up right where he left off – the Monaco GP winner topping first practice, ahead of the Ferrari pair, with Charles Leclerc in P2 ahead of Carlos Sainz.

Lewis Hamilton – who could only manage P7 in Monaco – was again seventh quickest in FP1 in Baku, though his progress was hampered by yellow flags, so it may not be a true reflection of his pace.

The seven time-champ also outbraked himself and took to the run-off at Turn 15 – one of many drivers to test the limits of this street circuit, as you can see in the video above which has all the key moments from the first session of the race weekend.
