HIGHLIGHTS: Watch the action from final practice in Azerbaijan as Norris leads the way amid tricky conditions
Lando Norris and McLaren returned to the top of the timesheets during final practice for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Lando Norris bounced back from his visit to the wall at the Baku City Circuit during FP2 by setting the pace in Saturday’s final practice session.
Across a particularly slippery and windy hour of running, with patches of earlier rain reducing grip levels, Norris clocked a best time of 1m 41.223s on Pirelli’s soft compound tyre.
It put him a couple of tenths clear of Red Bull rival Max Verstappen, followed by McLaren team mate Oscar Piastri, Friday pace-setter Lewis Hamilton for Ferrari and the Mercedes of Kimi Antonelli.
While major incidents and red flags were avoided, plenty of drivers had trips to the run-off areas and brushes with the walls, including thumps for Charles Leclerc and Pierre Gasly.
