PIRELLI STRATEGY GUIDE: What are the tactical options for the Las Vegas Grand Prix?

Formula 1’s most eccentric track has produced the season’s most intriguing grid. George Russell takes his third pole position of the year, while the two drivers’ title contenders share the third row: Max Verstappen down in fifth but ahead of rival Lando Norris. Ahead of them, both Ferraris and the wild card of Pierre Gasly – a superb third for Alpine – make things very interesting.
Let us not, however, get too excited about grid position – this isn’t one of those race where that’s going to prove decisive. It’s a circuit that offers plenty of overtaking opportunity but also pitfalls for those who go too hard, too soon. Either way, the right strategy is going to be vital…
