
PRACTICE DEBRIEF: Can Ferrari cling onto their early advantage in Hungary?

Ferrari looked like they were in a league of their own on Friday at the Hungaroring as the scarlet cars piloted by Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were quick all day – but can Mercedes, McLaren and Red Bull spoil the party at this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix? And what of Aston Martin's much anticipated B-spec upgrade?
Ferrari thought they'd be quick – but did we expect them to be this quick?
I'm not sure anyone believed Ferrari would have a half-a-second advantage over the rest of the pack at the end of the first day of running in Budapest, even if the Italian team did expect to be in a decent position given the tight and twisty characteristics of the Hungarian track.
