George Russell secured an epic pole position in Canada – the second of his career – despite posting the exact same time as Max Verstappen, who will line up alongside the Mercedes man on the front row for the Canadian Grand Prix.
Qualifying in Montreal proved to be an ultra-close affair, with Lando Norris in P3 just 0.021s adrift, while his team mate Oscar Piastri lines up in fourth. RB's Daniel Ricciardo also managed to secure an impressive fifth for himself while the likes of the two Ferraris – surprisingly knocked out in Q2 – will be looking to make up ground.
With Sergio Perez also an early casualty in qualifying, all of this makes for an tantalising Grand Prix in Montreal that is sure to be full of twists and turns.
