Schumacher remains critical but stable
Michael Schumacher remains in a critical but stable condition, according to a statement released Monday by the Grenoble hospital in France where the seven-time world champion is being treated for severe head injuries following his skiing accident eight days ago.
Schumacher, 45, struck his head on a rock after falling during a family ski trip at the Alpine resort of Meribel. The German is being kept in an induced coma, having undergone two operations since the accident in which he suffered lesions and contusions to the brain.
Meanwhile, French authorities investigating Schumacher’s accident are expected to hold a news conference on Thursday to brief the media on their findings to date.
