The first four places on the grid for the Spanish Grand Prix are split between four different teams, with very little to separate them. Lando Norris made it three poles in four races, and the joy on his face was partially derived from knowing he’d put in a stellar lap, but also because overtaking here looks very, very difficult… but the Madring isn’t going to deliver a procession.

Based on practice and our support races this weekend, F1’s newest track has potential for… mayhem. Potential for Safety Cars and Virtual Safety Cars, potential for red flags and lengthy stoppages – but even without interruption, strategy will play a huge role in today’s race.
