The 27 circuits Verstappen has won at after he finally triumphs in Singapore

Max Verstappen has picked up the winner's trophy at a mighty 27 circuits - but where has he tasted victory, and which tracks are missing from the list?

Special ContributorBecky Hart

Max Verstappen triumphed in Singapore with Red Bull at the weekend, to take his maiden Grand Prix victory at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

The Dutchman won on his 10th attempt under the lights of F1’s original night race to round off an incredible weekend for the four-time World Champion, which also included victory in the Sprint too.

Singapore has long been something of a ‘bogey’ track for Verstappen, despite four previous front row starts and four podiums. His nine starts there without a win was the highest of any current venue on the F1 calendar – but he has finally put that stat to bed with a victory that looked assured from the second he made it to Turn 1 ahead of Charles Leclerc.

Verstappen’s win means he has now tasted victory at 27 different F1 circuits, second only to Lewis Hamilton’s 31. So, where has the Dutchman won, and which are his most successful circuits?

The Red Bull Ring – Austria

Red Bull always seem to go well on home soil and, until Zandvoort joined the calendar, Spielberg was Verstappen’s de facto home race. The orange-clad Dutch fans used to cross the border to Austria in their thousands to cheer him on, and Verstappen more often than not made their journey worthwhile.

He first won there back in 2018, followed that up with another victory in 2019, and then won twice in 2021 when the circuit hosted back-to-back events during the pandemic. His last victory at the Red Bull Ring was a win from pole in 2023, that result coming in the midst of an incredible run of 10 straight victories as he galloped that year to a third straight title.

The Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez - Mexico City

The race in Mexico City is run at high altitude, which often worked well for the Red Bull aero package. As such, Verstappen won back-to-back races in 2017 and 2018 despite his car not being the class of the field across those two seasons.

Verstappen only won two races in 2017 and two in 2018, making it all the more remarkable that victories in Mexico City featured in both seasons.

Three victories in three of his Championship-winning years of 2021, 2022 and 2023 followed, but only one of those was from pole, which makes his results all the more incredible. He was able to share the podium with Mexican team mate Sergio Perez in 2021 and 2022 too, which given the top three park up in the stadium section at the end of the race, must have been quite the atmosphere to experience.

Yas Marina Circuit – Abu Dhabi

Yas Marina traditionally hosts the final race of the season, and while some drivers have already taken their foot off the gas and have half a mind on Christmas, Verstappen always turns up with his game face on.

He won in Abu Dhabi four years running between 2020 and 2023, all of those victories coming from pole. His win in 2020 helped springboard his Championship charge in 2021, while his next two wins came at the end of dominant seasons.

He also won from pole there last season, which was not quite enough to clinch the title with Lando Norris’ third place finish enough for the McLaren man to seal the crown. Nonetheless, it is a track Verstappen tends to go well at – not that there are many he doesn’t these days.

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya – Spain

Barcelona was where Verstappen got his first taste of what it felt like to win in F1, in his debut race for Red Bull no less. Having been promoted from Toro Rosso mid-season, he benefitted from the two Mercedes cars colliding at the start and went on to take a famous win at the age of just 18. That made him the youngest-ever winner in F1, a record that still stands today.

He also won in three of his Championship years in 2022, 2023 and 2024, but only once from pole. The other two wins came from second on the grid though, so he is no slouch over one lap in the often scorching hot conditions of Barcelona.

Circuit of The Americas - USA

Verstappen has won four out of the last five Grands Prix in Texas, taking victory in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2025. The first and last of those came from pole, which is not always an advantage in Austin given the long uphill run to Turn 1 that allows for so many different racing lines.

His win in 2023 came from sixth on the grid, the Dutchman made to work hard for the victory after brake issues emerged mid-race. That was his 50th career Grand prix win, a number that has since been dwarfed – his current tally is 73 wins, all with one constructor.

Suzuka - Japan

Suzuka is one of those tracks everyone wants to win at and is often cited as the best to drive on the calendar with its sweeping, high-speed corners. Verstappen has won four times in Japan, those victories coming between 2022 and 2025.

His first win was in the wet too, Verstappen giving one of his masterclasses to take not just the victory but also the World Championship crown at one of the most famous venues in motorsport.

The Dutchman’s results have all been built from strong qualifying performances, Verstappen taking all of those victories from pole. He could not make it five from five this season, Red Bull not starting 2026 as strongly as they would have hoped.

Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Imola) - Italy

Verstappen’s record at Imola is truly spectacular. The circuit returned to the calendar in 2020, stepping in as the schedule chopped and changed due to the pandemic. Verstappen might have failed to finish the first race in cold November conditions, but he then won the four subsequent editions.

A win rate of 80% at a track is not to be sniffed at, with two of those victories coming from pole too.

Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace (Interlagos) – Brazil

One of Verstappen’s most famous Brazil drives was not for the win, the Dutchman scything his way through the field in treacherous, wet conditions back in 2016 to bag a podium. But he has taken victory at Interlagos three times, from pole in 2019 and 2023, and then from P17 on the grid in 2024.

That last win was another masterclass from the Dutchman in wet conditions, as he survived red flags and plenty of chaos to not just climb back through the field, but win by nearly 20 seconds in an imperious display of car mastery.

Lusail International Circuit – Qatar

One of the newer editions to the calendar, Qatar has hosted four Grands Prix so far, in 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025. Verstappen has won three of them for a 75% success rate, buoyed by often having the best car towards the end of the season, such are Red Bull’s development strengths.

He has only taken pole once, back in 2023 when he beat George Russell over one lap by nearly half a second. Last year, the Dutchman won from third on the grid with Red Bull nailing their strategy calls to help Verstappen beat the McLaren pair, which at the time ensured the Championship fight would go to the last race of the season.

Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve – Canada

Montreal is another circuit that can throw up chaotic races, not to mention the Wall of Champions that has caught many a famous driver out over the years.

Two of Verstappen’s three wins have come from pole in 2022 and 2023, the other in 2024 coming from second on the grid. He also has three other podiums here, and yes, he has hit the famous wall back in 2024, fortunately doing so in practice.

Autodromo Nazionale Monza - Italy

The Temple of Speed rewards cars that have good low-drag set-ups, something Red Bull have not always necessarily had as a strength. But Verstappen still has three victories at a track where speed is everything, winning in 2022 and 2023, before grabbing victory from pole in 2025.

This was not his best track in his early career, the Dutchman failing to finish on the podium in his first seven outings here, with reliability woes also not aiding his cause. But a win from seventh on the grid in 2022 changed that, Verstappen beating Leclerc as he finally got to stand on the top step of one of the most impressive podiums in the sport.

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps - Belgium

Spa is another home race for Verstappen, and not just because so many Dutch fans can make their way to the Ardennes Forest relatively easily. His mother is Belgian, although Verstappen races under the Dutch flag like his father.

Like Suzuka, Spa is one of those historic tracks everyone wants to win at, with Verstappen doing so for three consecutive years from 2021. His 2022 win was from 14th on the grid, the Dutchman’s car the class of the field as he made light work of recovering from grid penalties in one of his title-winning years.

MONZA, ITALY - SEPTEMBER 11: Race winner Max Verstappen of the Netherlands and Oracle Red BullVerstappen has stood on the top step of one of the best podiums in F1

Circuit Zandvoort – The Netherlands

Zandvoort joined the calendar in 2021, with Verstappen winning the first three editions of his home race. All of those wins were from pole too, the Dutch fans not minding his dominance one bit as they enjoyed watching their man do what he does best.

Verstappen followed those wins up with two second-place finishes, but sadly his final Dutch Grand Prix saw him crash out early after dipping a wheel onto the slippery white lines following some earlier rain.

Jeddah Corniche Circuit – Saudi Arabia

Another relative newcomer on the calendar, Jeddah is a fast, exhilarating street track that has caught out more than one driver since its first race in 2021. But thus far, Verstappen’s record there is fairly eye-catching, with two wins and three second-place finishes from the five editions so far.

While he has two poles at the track as well, his best result is arguably his P2 in 2023, achieved from 15th on the grid after a driveshaft failure cost him in Qualifying. The issue returned late on in the race, leaving the Dutchman no chance to try and challenge Perez ahead for the win.

Sepang International Circuit – Malaysia

Verstappen was the last driver to win in Malaysia back in 2017, the circuit then dropping off the calendar. But it reappeared in 2026 as host of the Bahrain Grand Prix, and the Dutchman picked up where he left off.

He won from third on the grid in 2017 for what was then just his second-ever F1 victory, but in 2026 the four-time World Champion put an at times difficult season to bed with his first win of the year, from pole no less.

Las Vegas Strip Circuit – USA

Verstappen won the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2023, having to work hard for the win after picking up a time penalty in a slightly chaotic race that saw several Safety Car periods, the Dutchman overtaking Perez and Charles Leclerc late on to take the victory.

He won again last year as part of his late charge to the title – which ultimately saw him come up just short in Abu Dhabi.

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - NOVEMBER 18: Race winner Max Verstappen of the Netherlands and Oracle Red BullVerstappen has won big in Vegas on two occasions

Baku City Circuit – Azerbaijan

Baku has not always been a happy hunting ground for Verstappen, who has had a few brushes with the walls over the years here. He crashed out when leading in 2021 thanks to a tyre issue, while 2018 will long be remembered for a collision between Verstappen and his team mate at the time, Daniel Ricciardo.

But Verstappen does have two wins at the street track, winning in 2022 before taking victory from pole in 2025. He came agonisingly close to a third victory this season, just unable to out-drag Russell’s Mercedes across the line.

Wins: 2
Poles: 1

Hungaroring – Hungary

The Hungaroring near Budapest is reminiscent of a karting track and is another one the drivers love, but it lends itself to a very specific car set-up, and is somewhere Red Bull have not always excelled. Verstappen recorded back-to-back victories in 2022 and 2023, but has not won there since while his only pole was back in 2019.

His win in 2022 is the highlight, Red Bull nailing their strategy as Verstappen recovered from P10 on the grid, pulling off multiple overtakes and even surviving a late spin to beat Lewis Hamilton and Russell.

BAKU, AZERBAIJAN - SEPTEMBER 21: Race winner Max Verstappen of the Netherlands and Oracle Red BullVerstappen won in Baku in 2025 to reignite his title hopes

Miami International Autodrome – USA

Miami joined the calendar in 2022, with Verstappen taking the inaugural win. He followed that up with victory in 2023 too, but since then things have not gone entirely to plan in the Sunshine State.

Poles in 2024 and 2025 did not yield victory, while this season Verstappen trailed home in fifth-place in a car that Red Bull were still fighting to understand.

Wins: 2

Circuit de Monaco - Monaco

Verstappen’s first Monaco victory came in 2021 from second on the grid – but with pole-sitter Leclerc unable to take the start, the Dutchman was de facto P1. He won from pole in 2023 as well, but this street track has not always been his forte.

He has only started from the front row three times at a circuit where grid slots are everything, while this season, anti-stall cost him off the line before he was forced into retirement with more mechanical woes.

Bahrain International Circuit - Bahrain

Verstappen’s two wins in Bahrain came in 2023 and 2024, when his Red Bull was the class of the field. Both years Bahrain was hosting the opening race too, meaning Verstappen’s season got off to the best possible start.

He also has three poles at the desert track, along with two other podiums. And the record books will state he has won three Bahrain Grands Prix, having taken victory in Malaysia this season which was hosting on behalf of Bahrain.

Silverstone – Great Britain

Given how often Silverstone throws up some questionable weather, it might be something of a surprise that Verstappen has not won more than twice in Northamptonshire. His first victory was the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix in 2020, and he won again in 2023.

That second victory came from pole, while the two other times he started P1 did not go so well – an infamous collision with Hamilton ending his race early in 2021, while he trailed home fifth in 2025 despite the race being held in those wet-dry conditions he normally favours.

Circuit Paul Ricard – France

France last hosted a Grand Prix in 2022, with Verstappen winning that edition from pole position. He has raced at Paul Ricard four times, winning in 2021 as well, while 2018 yielded a podium and 2019 saw him come home in fourth-place.

Wins: 2

Albert Park – Australia

Melbourne has not always been kind to Verstappen, the Dutchman failing to finish three times at Albert Park with mechanical gremlins. But he has won there just the once, back in 2023 when he took victory from pole.

He also started on pole in 2024, but brake issues did for his race that season.

Shanghai International Circuit – China

Verstappen only has two podiums in China from eight attempts, one of those a victory back in 2024 from pole. His record might have been improved had Shanghai hosted a race during some of Red Bull’s dominant years, the circuit not featuring on the calendar for four years from 2020.

Hockenheim – Germany

Verstappen won the last German Grand Prix to be held back in 2019, a humdinger of a race that saw the Dutchman pit five times in rainy conditions, yo-yoing his way from the back to the front as Red Bull excelled with their strategy calls – helped no end by Verstappen’s input from the cockpit.

On a day where many drivers were left looking a little foolish in tricky conditions, Verstappen again underlined why he was rated so highly, something that has not changed in the subsequent years.

Marina Bay Street Circuit - Singapore

Finally, the one that got away so many times but not in 2026. Singapore throws up some of the hottest, most humid conditions of the season, which has not always favoured Red Bull. The team won three times with Sebastian Vettel, while Perez also took a win under the lights at Marina Bay.

But finally in 2026, Verstappen had the car, the speed in Qualifying, made no mistakes and was able to tick off a new track, having now stood on the top step of the rostrum at 27 different venues.

Could Verstappen add to his tally in 2027?

There are three venues on the calendar for next season Verstappen has not yet won at – Portimao in Portugal, the Madring in Spain and Istanbul Park in Turkey.

Verstappen has raced at all three, with second-place in Turkey his best result from two efforts, while he bagged two podiums in two attempts at Portimao.

The Madring joined the calendar for the first time this season, with the Dutchman finishing second to Kimi Antonelli.
