Lewis Hamilton produced a masterclass drive on Sunday to win the Sao Paulo Grand Prix from 10th on the grid. But it was by no means a straightforward victory, with the Mercedes man having to make his way past both Red Bulls on his way to the chequered flag.
In F1 TV's Post-Race Show racing driver and commentator Alex Brundle explains just how Red Bull deployed team tactics to try and keep Hamilton at bay, using Sergio Perez as a foil for championship leader Max Verstappen. The undercut then came into play, as did some potentially costly traffic.
Add in Verstappen’s stout defence – which the stewards deemed acceptable, opting not to punish the Red Bull man – and it is easy to see why many regard this as one of Hamilton’s great comeback drives.
