Kimi Antonelli caught the eye by grabbing a sensational maiden pole position during Sprint Qualifying at the Miami Grand Prix, holding off the challenge posed by the McLaren pair of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.
Antonelli’s effort of 1m 26.482s put him 0.045s clear of Piastri in second, while Norris was around one-tenth off the polesitter’s impressive lap time in third place.
With fine margins at play across the leading trio, it will be fascinating to see what unfolds when the Sprint gets underway on Saturday at the Miami International Autodrome.
