WATCH: Gasly endures a fiery end to his Bahrain Grand Prix
Pierre Gasly was enjoying a solid start to his 2022 season at the Bahrain Grand Prix, running in P8 – until a fire on his AlphaTauri AT03 did for his race.
Gasly was looking to build on a stupendous 2021 campaign, which saw him score over 100 points for the first time in his career. But the Frenchman would score a big old zero in Sakhir, as his AlphaTauri gave up the ghost with just over 10 laps of the race to go, bringing out a Safety Car as flames licked out of the back of his car.
