Formula 1 and LEGO put on a memorable show ahead of last weekend’s Miami Grand Prix, with the usual drivers’ parade truck being replaced by fully driveable, big build cars.
Each team took delivery of bespoke two-seater machines covered in their own liveries for a special lap of the Miami International Autodrome – the drivers battling it out on track while waving to fans in the grandstands.

The cars are based on the LEGO F1 Speed Champions range unveiled late last year and have been designed to celebrate F1 and the LEGO Group’s multi-year partnership.
They were created by a skilled team of 26 designers, engineers and LEGO builders, across 22,000 hours, in the LEGO Group’s Kladno factory, located in the Czech Republic.
Made up of some 400,000 LEGO bricks, weighing in at around 1,000kg, and capable of reaching speeds of 20kph, the drivers did not hold back when they got behind the wheel in Miami…
