The Monaco Grand Prix was just 15 minutes from getting under way when the heavens opened, a series of showers giving the track a dousing and causing the start to be delayed.
At 1516, the formation lap got going behind the Safety Car, but after just two sighting laps in heavy rain, the decision was taken to red flag proceedings, forcing the drivers and teams to reset before getting ready to go again.
