WATCH: Safety Car triggered on Lap 1 after Ocon and Giovinazzi collide in Austrian GP race start
Esteban Ocon will be glad to see the back of the Red Bull Ring after two unproductive races at the Austrian track. The Alpine driver came home 14th in last week's Styrian Grand Prix, while his Austrian GP lasted less than four corners.
Starting 17th, Ocon found himself sandwiched between the two Alfa Romeos of Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi as the cars funnelled into Turn 3, and it was Giovinazzi's left rear that collided with Ocon, damaging his right front wheel and immediately putting him out of the race.

The Frenchman was forced to pull over to the side of the track to retire the car, which saw Race Control send out the Safety Car to allow the marshals to get it out of harm's way.
Up at the front, Max Verstappen held his lead from pole position, with second placed Lando Norris, Sergio Perez in third, and the two Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas all holding station on the opening lap.
