It is an oddity of Formula 1 – and motorsport in general – that often the participants in a race know less about what's actually happening than even the fans watching from home.
Strapped tightly into a cockpit with a view only of what's directly in front of them on the circuit – as well as perhaps the occasional glimpse at a track-side screen – the drivers often don't even know exactly who they are racing.
Which is why Lewis Hamilton did not know until well into Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix that Max Verstappen, the man who would finish second, was still in the race at all, the Mercedes driver having thought Verstappen's pre-race crash had put him out.
Of course, the drivers do have their radio connection back to the team, and luckily for us, we can listen in. Check out the video above for all the best bits of team radio from Sunday's race at the Hungaroring, including some grumpy messages from Alex Albon, some bemused ones from Pierre Gasly, and a very happy Lance Stroll.

Having Stroll in your F1 Fantasy team would have netted you a great haul of points this week, and with the next two races at a Silverstone track that should suit the Racing Point car well, perhaps now is the time to sub him in.
