Sebastian Vettel’s time in F1 will come to an end at the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and with it, the career of one of the finest drivers the sport has seen across more than 70 years of competition.
It all began for Vettel back in 2007 when, as a 19-year-old, he made a point-scoring debut for BMW Sauber, before stepping up to F1 full-time with Toro Rosso, where he scored a breakthrough maiden victory at the rain-hit 2008 Italian Grand Prix.
From there, the German delivered countless special displays and achieved huge success, from world title glory with Red Bull, breathless wheel-to-wheel battles with big-name rivals and spectacular comeback drives – Brazil 2012, anyone?
