What time is the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix?

Free Practice 1 will kick off the weekend on Thursday, September 24 at 1230 local time, with Free Practice 2 following at 1600.

Free Practice 3 takes place at 1230 on Friday, September 25, ahead of Qualifying at 1600 before the Grand Prix itself gets underway at 1500 on Saturday, September 26.

Where is the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix taking place?

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held at the Baku City Circuit for a ninth time, while it will be the track’s 10th Formula 1 outing. The first took place under the name of the European Grand Prix in 2016.

The circuit is known for its mixture of wide and open sections combined with some tight and twisty areas, looping around the city’s old town and medieval city walls.

A number of drivers have taken victory in Baku over the years but Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen are the only ones to have won around the challenging street venue on multiple occasions, having both stood on the top step of the podium twice.

As things stand, the weather looks set to be mild and dry for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend.

The area can often experience windy conditions due to its location near the Caspian Sea, with the gusts having occasionally caught out drivers in the past.

When can I watch F2 during the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend?

While Formula 3 wrapped up its season last time out in Spain, the 2026 Formula 2 campaign moves on to Baku for Round 12 with Nikola Tsolov continuing to lead the standings.

Qualifying, Practice and Qualifying 2 will all take place on Thursday, September 24, before the Sprint Race gets underway on Friday, September 25 at 0815 local time.

Feature Race 1 follows later that day at 1415, while Feature Race 2 is scheduled for Saturday, September 26 at 1100.
