WEEKEND WARM-UP: The drivers get ready to return to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit
The 2022 season is most definitely now under way, the drivers having finally been able to go flat-out, side by side, racing in anger to see who has the best car under them as they start to dream of title glory.
Sebastian Vettel is the only driver on the grid yet to get his campaign up and running, the German forced to sit out Bahrain last weekend after catching Covid. His place was taken by Nico Hulkenberg, who performed admirably and is on call in case he needs to jump in the AMR22 again this weekend.

Ferrari had the dream start last time out, a one-two for their drivers coupled with pole position and the fastest lap bonus point making it pretty much the perfect weekend. But with Charles Leclerc shining for the Scuderia, Carlos Sainz will want to fight back and show there is more than one scarlet clad driver in the mix for the Prancing Horses.

As for Red Bull, they need to bounce back strongly after failing to score in Bahrain. Can Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez get in the mix at the front of the field again, or will this track suit their rivals?
The sweeping new regulations have also shaken up the pecking order, with Haas and Alfa Romeo now seemingly top 10 contenders. But while Kevin Magnussen delighted his old team with points last Sunday, can Mick Schumacher join the party here in Jeddah?
